What are Crackling Wooden Wicks?

We like to use crackling wooden wicks because they are all natural, non-toxic and provide a relaxing crackling sound when burning. They can be finicky when burning so it's important to always trim your wick before each use between 1/8 – 3/16 inch. You should also remove any charred wood from your wick from previous burns. We offer wick trimmers that can help you with this. Be sure to do this once your candle has cooled and remove any charred material that may fall on the top of your candle before the next burn. If you don’t keep the wick trimmed properly, it may not stay lit long enough to fuel the flame, causing it to extinguish itself.
